Alireza Torabi is an Iranian-Dutch documentary filmmaker and photographer based in Amsterdam. Born in Tehran in 1991, he studied cinema, where his artistic journey began with short films and photography.

 

Driven by a curiosity to explore the world, encounter different cultures, and listen to people’s stories, his practice has evolved through years of traveling, observing, and documenting the human experience. Through photography and film, he seeks to uncover untold stories, capture fleeting moments, and explore the subtle connections that link people across cultures and borders.

 

His work has been showcased at national and international exhibitions and festivals. At the heart of his practice lies a belief in storytelling as a way to deepen our understanding of the world and of one another.
